Frequently Asked Questions
Each question shows a short business-style passage and a statement. You decide whether the statement is True, False or Cannot Say based only on the passage. It mirrors the SHL Verify verbal test, which rewards careful reading over general knowledge.
Skills tested
- ✓ Reading comprehension under time pressure
- ✓ Separating stated facts from assumptions
- ✓ True / False / Cannot Say logic
- ✓ Critical reading of business text
- Use only the passage. If you need outside knowledge to decide, the answer is Cannot Say.
- Watch qualifiers like 'all', 'some', 'always' and 'usually' — they change the answer.
- False means the passage contradicts the statement; missing information is Cannot Say.
- Read the statement first, then scan the passage for the sentence it relates to.

Is this practice test free?

What is the difference between False and Cannot Say?
False means the passage directly contradicts the statement. Cannot Say means the passage does not give enough information to confirm or deny it.

No. Every answer must be based only on the passage, even if you know the statement is true or false in real life.
How long is the real SHL verbal reasoning test?
The real SHL verbal test usually has around 30 questions in 17–19 minutes. Our 10-minute sets build the same pace on a shorter run.
